Disney’s Cars Truck Tour will also complete its final V8 Supercar stop at the happening. The life-sized Mack Transporter houses a mobile themed attraction area and features Ford V8 Supercar driver, Mark “Frosty” Winterbottom as its brand ambassador.
Winterbottom said the Sydney Telstra 500 is an event for everyone.
“We’ve got one of the biggest crowds that turn up at the street circuit so its always exciting,” Winterbottom said.
“It’s a very big family weekend because you’ve got all the activities there during the day and at night time the concerts bring in a whole new crowd.”
The Homebush circuit has lots of tricky turns, corners et al and can be extremely challenging to race race drivers says Winterbottom.
“Its one of the most physically demanding tracks we race on because there aren’t a lot of straights and there are lots of corners,” he said.
“You get rewarded when you drive the car to its limits but it also punishes you when you get it wrong.”
The Sydney Telstra 500 will run from December 2-4.
