Teen sensation Miley Cyrus will make her first tour of Australia later this year.

Dainty Consolidated Entertainment today announced dates in June and July for Cyrus, who is best known as Hannah Montana.

Since her debut in 2006, Cyrus - the daughter of country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus - has released 10 albums and sold more than half a million singles.

Cyrus says her tour, called the Gypsy Heart tour, will feature music from her latest album, Can't Be Tamed.

"The Gypsy Heart tour is a dream come true," she said.

"Not only because of all the beautiful cities I will get to visit, but all of the beautiful people I will get to meet.

"Gypsy Heart is not just a tour for me, but a mission to spread love."

The tour will take Cyrus to Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.
